This cake was created for an office pot luck. She wanted the Zumba logo along with her company logo mixed in with multi color dots as the decor. I was sent a rough draft of what her ideas were and this is what I created. It is a carrot cake with buttercream icing and fondant accents. It was filled with cream cheese icing.

Dora the Explorer
This cake was created for a little girl who was turning 3. Her party theme was Dora the Explorer. I found this super cute Dora birthday set that included a crown, sash, wand and ear rings. I incorporated the colors from Dora in the strips and trip of the cake. The cake itself was a chocolate two tier cake with buttercream icing and fondant accents. She also wanted cupcakes to go along with her them but these cupcakes were Lemon Gluten free cupcakes with Gluten Free icing. Each one had their own Dora figure on them.
Love Always and Forever!!

I incorporated the blue in the ribbon and the scroll work along with the words were done in black buttercream icing. The cake is a two tier chocolate and white cake with buttercream icing.

Sports Themed Baby Shower #2
I was contacted to create a baby shower cake for a young lady who was having a little boy. His room was going to be decorated in a sports theme and the host wanted the cake to reflect the same decor. On this cake I made all the sports balls out of fondant along with the blue stars which resemble the stars in the baby's bedding.
Pink and Lime Green #2
Apparently this year is the year for little girls. A friend of mine was throwing her sister a baby shower. She wanted to do something in pink and lime green but still keeping it simple. The cake is a two tier cake with the bottom tier chocolate cake with chocolate fudge filling and the top tier is white cake with a lemon filling. The cake was iced in buttercream and accented with pink and lime green fondant.

My Birthday Cake
This is not a cake that I made but one that was made by this sweet lady in Urania Louisiana. 2 weeks before my birthday we spent the weekend with my husbands grandparents and she said that since I always make cakes for every ones birthday she wanted to get one for me. It was an almond flavored cake with layers upon layers of icing topped with all kinds of fruit. There were chocolate dipped strawberries and cherries some were dipped in pecans and some had almonds. There were also crystallized grapes. This cake was to DIE for!!! I haven't had my own birthday cake in a few years and I could believe she made sure I had one even though it was Grandmothers birthday and mine was still a few weeks away.
Sumpter Wedding
This couple contacted me to create their wedding cakes for their reception they were having after they came back from their destination wedding in Florida. The groom knew exactly what he wanted even though it was not your typical grooms cake. The bride wanted to include red and gold. The wedding cake was a 3 tier cake one tier white, one tier marble, and one tier chocolate all covered in buttercream icing. The grooms cake was red velvet topped with cream cheese icing and fondant accents.

Surprise Wedding
One of my really close friends mom contacted me to do a cake for a "surprise wedding." She gave me all the details but little did I know in the end it was for her wedding. They were married on 10-10-10. The wedding had a few different elements or themes shall we say; Italian, leather, lace and biker. Going off of those I create a Italian cream cake with buttercream icing adorned with black lace trim and gold accents coming out of the top.

Two Peas in a Pod
This cake was created for a good friend of mine who is having twins, a boy and a girl. She sent me a bunch of different pictures of cakes she liked but none of them really jumped out at her so I decided to create something different for her. This cake is white 2 tier cake with raspberry filling. The pea pod is made out of fondant and the lady bug and bumble bee are buttercream icing.
